Sarasota School of Architecture
The Sarasota School of Architecture, or Sarasota modern architecture, is a style of architecture that developed in Sarasota, Florida in the mid-twentieth century. Architects like Paul Rudolph, Ralph Twitchell, and Jack West designed dozens of stunning modern homes in the area that were characterized by open floor plans, clean lines, and large glass panes to maximize our abundant natural light. Gillespie Park is experiencing a renaissance of this historical, locally grown architectural style that blend effortlessly with a mix of craftsman bungalows and mediterranean revival homes to create a unique and diverse neighborhood.
